Want to buy our house?

After 3 1/2 great years in this house, we are finally ready to move on. Know anyone that's moving to Philly? Our house is on the market! Here's a little trip down memory lane. It took a lot of sweat and tears to transform this baby.

I love this ward!

My dear friend Sophie gave this traditional African dress to me this past week. Love it! For those of you who don't know, a good part of our ward is made up of African immigrants who fled the war in Liberia. Sophie is one of those amazing people. We've had so many awesome experiences here in this ward... it will be hard to leave.

And here is an attempt to get a family picture. HA!!! Waking up early + day at church + no nap = this lovely child.

Martin Luther King Day Service

We had a fun day yesterday. We took the Young Women downtown to participate in one of the largest MLK Day service projects.

Tanner got creeped out by the drop of blood...

...but had fun with the kids.

KaMeir, Raksmey and Sheena

And here is the site of our future Temple here in Philadelphia. It's just a parking lot now, but is in a great location right in the middle of the city. Everyone here is so excited for it to be built!

Christmas 2008

I guess blogging really isn't my thing because I've been dreading the Christmas update. So, here are just a few pictures of the highlights of the trip. We had a great time! We started in Vernal with the Halls.

The annual hayride on Christmas Eve with the Gibbons. Oh, I love Vernal!

Cute cousins... Tanner, Bryant, Pearson

Cheesy family shot in our matching jammies. You got to love Christmas traditions!

Berkley's highlight of the trip. He was 4-wheeling most of the day everyday.
Then, we drove down to California for a little beach time. It was cold the first few days, but got up to the 80's by the time we left.

Tidepooling with Grandpa - a Hoggan tradition.

Grandma's birthday!
We then headed up to Lake Arrowhead for the weekend to do a Hoggan Christmas. It was so fun to have everyone together.

Tanner didn't really get the idea of the marshmallow guns that Grandpa and Grandma gave all the grandkids. He just ate his whole bag.

Grandpa with the 4 grandkids born within one year of each other.

We saw good friends...

Tiffany

Kathryn and Aubrey

And went to the San Diego Zoo...

Tanner bonded with this guy.

We had an awesome vacation and can't wait to move closer to everyone in a few months.

Ward Christmas Party

Merry Christmas from the Philly 1st Ward!

Tanner loved Santa! He sat on his lap 4 times... couldn't get enough.
