Our new life

Well, we are finally getting used to our new life with Avery. We had a great few weeks with my parents, who came to help out.

While she was here, my mom was a sewing maniac. She made all of Avery's crib bedding: a bumper, crib skirt, 2 quilts, curtains, diaper holder, and even a quilt for Tanner's bed. Thanks MOM!
Then, Berkley's parents came for a week.

We had a great time and they were so much help!

Avery also got her first real bath. Tanner was the big brother helper.

We're having a lot of fun with her. It is amazing how much more relaxed I am with her. I felt like a crazy person when Tanner was a baby. She is so good... already sleeping a 5 or 6 hour stretch at night. She's also getting chunky - almost 10 pounds already!

She's here!!!

August 24th at 12:30 pm Avery Marilyn Hall joined our family. She weighed in at 7 lb 15 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Everything went well and we are all having fun with our new baby.

Right before we left for the hospital.

Grandma and Grandpa came to help out with Tanner.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we made a last minute trip to CA. We couldn't bear the thought of staying in Tucson for the long weekend.

Tanner loves his "choo choo" Grandpa and Grandma.

And, of course, we couldn't miss the annual Lake Forest Parade. It was awesome.... had the usual car clubs, the HS Band, cheerleaders, a bunch of churches had floats. And, Berkley's favorite was there - the Waste Management drumming on trash cans. Classic.

Fireworks were amazing in Ladera Ranch.

I'm still working on Berkley trying to convince him that we need to live here. Maybe some day....

Summer Fun

We've had a lot of fun so far this summer. The Halls came down for a visit and we saw more Tucson attractions. They were also nice enough to watch Tanner for the weekend so Berkley and I could go to San Diego for a work conference. It was great.

Biosphere

Tanner also took swim lessons for the first time. He did pretty well and loved his teacher. Although, he was less than thrilled when they had to stick their heads under water.

We also found this creepy museum around here with all these stuffed animals. And I swear they were all REAL. It was incredible... seriously like hundreds of dead animals. Tanner loved it. Thanks, Tucson. One more reason to love you.
