SNOW?!?

This is what we woke up to today! Oh no, winter is here...

Mom and Dad Visit

It was so fun to have my parents here last week. We had a great time and stayed busy. I didn't get any pictures (dang) but our biggest project was working on the basement - taking ceiling tiles down, texturing and painting the walls, and all the little details. We just have a little more work to do on it and then it will feel like new. Man, that was a huge project that needed some motivation. Thanks mom and dad for helping us get that done! I'm so lucky to have you both.

Fall also came and went the week they were here. It was beautiful... too bad it only lasted a week! We had fun playing in the leaves in our backyard. Tanner finally got into it.

We visited the Thomas Massey House in Broomall - on Lawrence road up by the Stake Center. Anyone that lives here should go check it out. I had never noticed it before - we drove by and made an appointment. It was built in 1696! I love living here where there are actually old historical places like this everywhere... you just have to find them.

We played with playdough...

We went to the Museum of Art.

Thanks Mom and Dad for coming and playing with us!

New York

This week my parents have been visiting and we took a quick trip up to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Being a history buff, I loved it. I don't know why we haven't gone to see it sooner. Oh yeah, that's right... I'm married to Berkley. He hates old stuff. Anyway, good times.

This is what Tanner did all day.

Happy Halloween!

Tanner and I finally carved our pumpkin today... of course he broke the head off the ghost immediately.

Tanner took a timeout from trick-or-treating to play a little ball at the Whiting's house.

He ended up liking his costume, but didn't really get the concept of getting candy from the neighbors. It was pretty fun to watch though. He was a cute little dinosaur.

New England

This past weekend Berkley's parents came out and we headed up to New England. It was beautiful up there - the leaves were at their peak. We drove up to Vermont the first day.

Here we are in Sharon, VT at Joseph Smith's birthplace.

Then we went to Morse Farm where they harvest maple syrup... yummy!

Tanner got to pick out his first pumpkin!

He picked a great one. Thanks Grandma!

On to the Ben and Jerry's factory. Phish Food is still the best.

After a little sidetrip through New Hampshire and Maine, we drove through Salem and down to Boston. I loved Boston... it is so much cleaner than Philly! And being a history buff, there was a lot to see. We'll have to go back someday to spend a little more time there.

Paul Revere

The Old North Church

The next day we went through Rhode Island and Connecticut. We stopped here in Guilford. It was the perfect little Conn town by the shore.

Thanks Berk and Barbara for coming out. We had a great time. Glad we can now check those states off the list!

Tanner's favorite things

Most days Tanner likes to carry around his favorite things: Mommy's purse (don't tell Berkley), his bucket, an old whisk, keys, and of course a binkie. The only thing missing is his blue football.

I think Tanner is super cute. I'm just sayin.
